The ongoing legal battle between Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard continues to get messier by the moment. After Johnny Depp lost an appeal in the domestic violence lawsuit, Amber Heard made sure to celebrate that fact while taking a shot at Depp.
Many fans were elated when it was reported that Amber Heard was fired from her role as Mera in Aquaman 2. However, Heard would prove everyone wrong after hinting that she will be reprising her role as Mera in Aquaman 2.
In fact, fans even recently petitioned hard to have Amber Heard removed from the upcoming film, but to no avail. Warner Bros would fire Depp from his role of Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3 due to the domestic violence lawsuit.
Outraged fans hated the fact that the studio that fired Depp would still employ Amber Heard as they began trending the hashtag ‘Justice for Johnny Depp’ on Twitter. This comes after the collective forewarned Warner Bros. pictures of a backlash if the actress is not sacked from the film.
As AQ2 starts filming, just a little reminder for @wbpictures that abusive gold-digger Amber Heard accused Johnny Depp of domestic abuse because she didn’t want to move out of his fucking penthouse. #JusticeForJohnnyDepp#AmberHeardIsAnAbuser
“Why did you lie and try to destroy Johnny Depp” Amber “Because he dumped me” PLAIN AND SIMPLE! #JusticeForJohnnyDepp
Hey, @warnerbros, read the room. Congratulations on ruining Aquaman2, it’s exactly what you deserve. People aren’t stupid. We’ve heard Amber Heard admit to chronically abusing Johnny Depp. #JusticeForJohnnyDepp#boycottaquaman2
Not one dollar to @wbpictures as long as Amber Heard is still employed. #JusticeForJohnnyDepp#AmberHeardIsALiar
Jason Mamoa had previously revealed that the sequel will start filming in July. Whether fans like it or not, Amber Heard is here to stay in the DCEU. The film is slated to release in December of 2022, but it is quite likely that many fans will boycott the film entirely.
