The ongoing legal battle between Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard continues to get messier by the moment. After Johnny Depp lost an appeal in the domestic violence lawsuit, Amber Heard made sure to celebrate that fact while taking a shot at Depp.

Many fans were elated when it was reported that Amber Heard was fired from her role as Mera in Aquaman 2. However, Heard would prove everyone wrong after hinting that she will be reprising her role as Mera in Aquaman 2.

In fact, fans even recently petitioned hard to have Amber Heard removed from the upcoming film, but to no avail. Warner Bros would fire Depp from his role of Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3 due to the domestic violence lawsuit.

However, now it seems Johnny Depp has achieved a huge legal victory over Amber Heard. According to a report by People, Johnny Depp has been allowed to move forward with his $50 defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard.

In court documents obtained by People, Fairfax County Chief Judge Penney Azcarate granted the actor the right to pursue his lawsuit and also denied Amber Heard’s supplemental plea to dismiss the case after Depp lost his U.K. libel lawsuit against British tabloid The Sun

“[Heard] argues she was in privity with The Sun because they both had the same interest in the case. However, for privity to exist, [Heard’s] interest in the case must be so identical with The Sun‘s interest such that The Sun‘s representation of its interest is also a representation of [Heard’s] legal right.

The Sun‘s interests were based on whether the statements the newspaper published were false. [Heard’s] interests relate to whether the statements she published were false.”

It is certainly great news for Johnny Depp fans who want to see justice delivered for the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor. The messy legal battle between the two is unlikely to end anytime soon and we will keep you updated on everything that goes on in the case.
