In light of the ongoing New York Comic-Con, HBO Max and Warner Bros. have come up with a creative new marketing tactic to promote their upcoming “Peacemaker” series.

A “hotline” has been set up, which can be accessed by dialing 1-833-4PSSMKR. Upon connecting to the hotline, the following automated message is played:

You have now joined the Task Force X meeting, which Peacemaker was late to. Please hold.

This message is followed by a few seconds of hold music, after which fans are treated to a snippet from the first look revealed this week.

The upcoming Peacemaker series will feature John Cena reprising his role from “The Suicide Squad.” The series will also star Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Chukwudi Iwuji, Robert Patrick, and Freddie Stroma.

Peacemaker is set to premiere on HBO Max in January next year. However, the series, coming in right after the success of James Gunn‘s Suicide Squad, is already generating buzz.
