The COVID-19 pandemic is still a very real problem throughout the world, but one Trader Joe’s allegedly fired an employee who just wanted to see precautions followed.

The company allegedly terminated an employee at one of their New York City locations after he sent a letter to the company’s CEO asking for more COVID-19 safety measures. The man, named Ben Bonnema, put out a tweet on the matter that has since gone viral.

“Trader joe’s just fired me for sending this letter to the CEO saying I don’t share the company values. I guess advocating for a safer workplace isn’t a company value?,” Bonnema tweeted out

He also shared a screenshot of the letter that he sent the CEO of the company. In the letter he urged the company to change their policies and tighten safety measures. You can find that below.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
