Mass shootings have sadly become the norm in The United States and from what it seems, they are only becoming more frequent by the day. People were still recovering from the Uvalde massacre earlier this year, but were not ready for what happened next.

On the 4th of July, a mass shooting took place in Highland Park, Illinois. According to a report by NBC News, the suspect is Robert E. Crimo, a 22-year-old man. It was said that he was arrested after an hour of searching.

According to the Daily Beast, once his identity was revealed, reports suggested that Crimo tried to be a rapper and posted disturbing music videos on YouTube. His rapper name was  ‘Awake the Rapper.’ The music video for one song showed a very similar depiction to what took place on Monday.

It is believed Crimo killed six people and injured at least 31 others after opening fire from a rooftop in the direction of paradegoers. According to Deadline, the video featured an animated, heavily-armed person firing a long gun at people before lying in a pool of blood after seemingly being shot by the police.

The video for another song showed Crimo inside an empty classroom in tactical gear and holding the American Flag. We will keep you updated on this developing story.
