Strange Things season 4 captured a ton of interest. That being said, please do not proceed further unless you’re ready for some MASSIVE SPOILERS. You have been warned.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is now enshrined in the Stranger Things universe. In the Season 4 finale, David Harbour, who portrays embattled police chief Jim Hopper, beheads a demogorgon with a sword used in a classic Schwarzenegger film. Recently, David revealed that the sword he wielded in the Stranger Things finale is the same weapon that was used by Arnold in the Conan films.

The actor, who plays Jim Hopper in the Netflix supernatural thriller show, took to Instagram on Monday to reveal the surprising crossover. In episode nine of Stranger Things series four, Hopper and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) face a deadly Demogorgon in a Russian prison after one survives their plan to trap and kill the beasts.

Hopper reaches down on to the ground and picks up a sword, which had been left there after a prisoner used the weapon to fight the monster in an earlier episode before bravely fighting the Demogorgon with it. David has now revealed the sword was the very same prop that was used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1982 film Conan the Barbarian and its sequel, Conan the Destroyer.

The original Conan film is an epic sword and sorcery movie that sees the character set off to find the sorcerer responsible for the genocide of his family. In a lengthy caption, David said he was ‘honored’ to ‘wield’ the recognizable sword, which he joked was ‘heavy as hell’ as he asked Arnold, 74, for tips on his ‘technique.’

Eager fans were thrilled by the Easter egg and took to the comments section to share their disbelief that the cast were allowed to use the actual Conan prop. You can check out David’s post below.
