Romeo Miller rose to stardom as Lil’ Romeo, the son of No Limit Records legend Master P. Fans watched Romeo grow up from a young novelty rapper to a grown man before their eyes. Miller recently became a father, and it was not well-received by a significant portion of his fan base.

Romeo and his girlfriend, Drew Sangster, welcomed a baby girl back in February of this year. Miller has shared several photos of the newborn on his Instagram page. Those posts have resulted in backlash from Lil’ Romeo’s female fans.

Page Six talked to Romeo Miller about the negative reaction to his fatherhood. Romeo said he has been receiving a ton of hate mail. He’s lost several fans by simply becoming a dad.

“I have lost a lot of fans. A lot of females sent me hate mail when I had my daughter because a lot of people felt like it was supposed to be themAnd as crazy as that sounds, I kind of felt that pressure growing up.

Being a child star, you have a different connection with your fans. It’s like your fans are really a part of your life. So I think that’s why it took so long [for me to have a child] because I was like when that day comes, I got to make sure it’s with the right person.

It’s not just a moment that happened by accident, but it has to be with somebody who is truly deserving because it’s gonna break a lot of hearts out there.”

Romeo’s fans seem to have expected him to remain a child forever. The reality is that he is grown up and was ready to start a family with the person he loves. The hate mail broke a lot of hearts, but it can’t stop Lil’ Romeo from living his life.
