Kim Kardashian knows how to make a statement and she did so once again at this year’s Met Gala. She wore Marilyn Monroe’s iconic “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress. This was met with a mixed reaction from people.
The reality star borrowed the glittery, nude gown worn by Monroe to sing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962 from Orlando’s Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum.
Kim Kardashian lost a lot of weight in order to wear the gown. Many people were upset over the fact that the dress was unearthed just for this. Kim Kardashian also didn’t starve herself to fit into the dress.
Amidst all the Met Gala drama, Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram story and uploaded a cryptic message about being teachable.
“Be teachable. Be open. You’re not always right.”
Kim Kardashian is certainly living the life right now, as she always manages to make headlines for one reason or the other. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for her.
