Doja Cat Breaks Down In Tears After First Grammy Win

The 64th Grammy Awards took place on Sunday. The event, hosted by Trevor Noah, saw a landmark victory for Doja Cat. This time Doja Cat had a big moment by winning a Grammy for the first time.

Doja Cat and SZA appeared on stage at the 64th Grammy Awards. It was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The artists won the award for best pop duo/group performance for their hit collaboration, “Kiss Me More.”

SZA, on crutches and having the train of her dress lifted by Lady Gaga, reached the stage first. She told to Doja Cat, “Girl, you went to the bathroom for five minutes, are you serious?” Once Doja Cat reached the microphone, she provided context for the crowd on why she was delayed in getting to the stage.

“I have never taken such a fast piss in my whole life. Thank you, everybody,” Doja Cat said as she fixed the front of her sheer dress. The Need to Know singer went on to thank her family, team, fans, and SZA. Doja then began crying as she reflected on the accomplishment of winning a Grammy.

“I like to downplay a lot of s###, but this is a big deal,” said Doja Cat through tears after receiving her golden gramophone. “Damn… thank you, everybody. Be safe.”

Doja Cat recently informed her fans that she is ready to retire from making music. That shocking announcement was met with some disbelief, but the 26-year-old rapper/singer doubled down on walking away from the record business soon. Although she said, she still has plenty of things to do before her retire.
