Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters’ award-winning drummer, died while the band was on tour in Columbia. The music industry as a whole is in mourning over a tragic loss. Hawkins’ five-star hotel room in Bogota was recently discovered to contain a lethal drug cocktail.

According to Radar Online, white powder and other hallucinogens were discovered inside the hotel room where Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins was discovered lifeless, according to the investigators looking into his death. Hawkins’ body was discovered hours before the band was scheduled to perform in Colombia, as previously reported.

A police officer who entered Hawkins’ room earlier today told prosecutors he saw a ‘cocaine-like’ white powder at the scene of Hawkins’ death, according to Colombian journalist Luis Carlos Velez.

“In the room, Colombian authorities found an empty beer can, an opened bottle of vodka, a Coca-Cola bottle and some other articles which are being analyzed by authorities.”

“Witnesses at the hotel tell me Taylor Hawkins called the front desk for help due to ‘chest pain’ before being found dead in his room.”

Several hallucinogens, including LSD, were allegedly discovered in the late rocker’s hotel room, according to Colombian newspaper El Tiempo. The Office of the Attorney General of Colombia confirmed the news in a statement.

“As soon as we were made aware of the death of foreign national Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters drummer, who was staying at a hotel in the north of Bogota, a team of prosecutors and investigators was mobilized to deal with urgent matters and support the investigation.”

“In the urine toxicological test performed on Taylor Hawkins’ body, 10 types of substances were preliminarily found, including: THC (marijuana), tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines and opioids.”

Hawkins, a father of three children, two teenagers, Oliver and Annabelle, and an eight-year-old, had previously openly discussed his history of drug use. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
