Rock icon Taylor Hawkins left the world too soon. Hawkins’ passing has been tremendously saddening for millions of fans. Foo Fighters have cancelled all upcoming concerts in South America after authorities said Taylor’s death could be drug related.

Hawkins’ legacy will be remembered forever. Undoubtedly, Taylor Hawkins was indeed an inextricable part of the band. No one will truly be able to replace him.

The music festival that the band was going to perform in has confirmed all cancellations. The Twitter account for Picnic Stereo Fest, in which the band was due to perform at on Friday, confirmed that the Foo Fighters would not take the stage.

The festival tweeted: “it is with a broken heart that we are here to tell you some very sad news, due to a very serious medical situation, Foo Fighters will not be able to perform tonight and have canceled the rest of their South American tour.” translated by The Sun.

The untimely death of the 50-year old drummer still has the authorities working on figuring out all the leads. This is a shocking loss for the entire world, especially the rock community. Today morning, the Metropolitan Police of Bogota released a statement, saying: “The cause of death has yet to be established. According to those close to him, the death could be related to the consumption of drugs.”

The band requested privacy for his grieving “wife, children, family.” Hawkins leaves behind wife Allison, whom he wed in 2005, and children Oliver and Annabelle. RIP Taylor Hawkins.
