Joe Rogan has been in hot waters over the past couple of weeks. A video compilation of him repeatedly using the n-word was shared by singer India Arie on social media. The video got viral right after the Rogan was accused of Covid misinformation.

In the another recent resurfaced video Joe Rogan claimed Black people have a different brain than white people. There were also videos in which he joked about comparing a black neighborhood to the planet of the apes. Needless to say, the clips received a lot of backlash as people called for Rogan’s dismissal from Spotify.

So far Spotify has stood by the podcast, which draws an estimated average audience of 11 million people. Spotify believes that removing Rogan from their platform is not the solution. The podcast superstar has hired an “elite” armed security team to protect him and his family amid the bitter backlash against his show.

The Sun reports that around the clock armed guards are parked up outside the Spotify podcaster’s $14.4million worth home in Austin, TX. According to The Sun the men aren’t “just retired Navy Seals who have been linked to Joe before.” They are professionals who have worked with the biggest names in entertainment and politics. These are real elite operators, most definitely not some local outfit.

The UFC commentator and stand-up comedian has since apologized for his use of the n-word as well. There hasn’t been news of anyone attempting to break in Rogan’s house so far. Never the less, Security is also understood to stand guard inside the gated $14.4m property.
