Whoopi Goldberg is one of 16 entertainers to have received the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Academy Award, and Tony Award). Whoopi was suspended just a few days ago after claiming that the Holocaust had nothing to do with race. Goldberg has returned to The View after being suspended for two weeks.

According to Hollywood Life, The 66-year-old comedian returned to the show on Monday, February 14, and appeared pleased to be back on the air after a brief absence. She also vowed to continue trying to have difficult conversations and thanked those who reached out to her in the aftermath of the controversy.

On February 1, Whoopi’s two-week suspension was announced after she stated that the Holocaust was “not about race” during a discussion about a school board’s decision to ban Art Spiegelman’s graphic novel Maus. When she returned, she mentioned how delving into sensitive topics was part of the show’s routine.

“I missed you all too. There’s something kind of marvelous about being on a show like this, because we are The View, and this is what we do, and sometimes we don’t do this [as] elegantly as we could. It’s five minutes to get in important information about topics, and that’s what we try to do everyday.”
