Whoopi Goldberg has recently dominated the news for a terrible reason. On Monday, Goldberg wreaked havoc on ABC’s “The View.” She made some contentious comments that drew attention from all around the place. Now Whoopi Goldberg is suspended from ‘The View’ for delivering such comments.

According to TMZ, The View has suspended Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks. The 66-year-old co-host will not appear on the daytime talk show after statements she made regarding the Holocaust on Monday’s broadcast of The View.

“Effectively immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments. While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments.”

“The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family and communities.”

On Monday’s episode, Whoopi got in trouble when she remarked. Then Whoopi was challenged by Ana Navarro and the environment got hot.

“Let’s be truthful about it because Holocaust isn’t about race. It’s not about race. It’s not about race. It’s about man’s inhumanity to man.”

“But it’s about white supremacists going after Jews.”

After the argument by Ana Navarro, Whoopi responded.

“But these are two white groups of people. The minute you turn it into race it goes down this alley. Let’s talk about it for what it is. It’s how people treat each other. It doesn’t matter if you’re Black or white, Jews, it’s each other.”

She attempted a make-up on Tuesday’s episode of ‘The View’ that she “misspoke,” but that “words matter.” Greenblatt appeared on the broadcast as a guest and provided more information about the topic to Goldberg and The View’s viewers.

“Yesterday on the show I misspoke. [The Holocaust] is indeed about race, because Hitler and the Nazis considered the Jews to be an inferior race. Now, words matter, and mine are no exception. I regret my comments and I stand corrected. I also stand with the Jewish people.”

Whatever Whoppi said she apologized for it. But ‘The View’ has decided to suspend her. Let’s see what happens next. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
