Scottie Pippen Claims He Would’ve Beaten Michael Jordan In Golf

Retired NBA star Scottie Pippen is regarded as a legend by many. However, at the same time, he is viewed as a controversial figure in the world of professional basketball. This is especially true after his recent comments on various people.

Scottie Pippen has come after the likes of Michael Jordan, calling him out for being selfish. He also called out LeBron James over his NBA Championship win and even Kevin Durant.

A lot of his recent bitterness can be attributed to the fact that Pippen lost his first-born son Antron earlier this year as his son tragically passed away due to an unknown cause. Since then his life has been very difficult.

While speaking to Golf.com, Scottie Pippen was asked about a story from his rookie season of Jordan buying him golf clubs with the motive of beating him. Pippen claims he would’ve beaten Jordan as well.

“That is all true. And he’s lucky that I had a bad back my rookie year. I would have beat him at golf, too. But we’ve never played a round of golf together.”

There are many who do not take Scottie Pippen seriously and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. Perhaps one day Piven will move on from Michael Jordan, but today is not that day.
