LeBron James is often thought of as the greatest basketball player of all time. Even if you disagree with that statement it’s hard to deny that he’s up there with the Mt Rushmore of greats. Scottie Pippen knows great basketball when he sees it, and he has a tremendous opinion of King James.

Pippen, who has a fistful of NBA Championship rings as well, tweeted out to make a big statement. He said that LeBron James won an NBA Championship without any help in 2016.

It didn’t take Stephen A Smith very long to reply with a list of examples to disprove Scottie Pippen. Nobody wins an NBA Championship all by themselves, even King James.

With all due respect my brother, that is ridiculous. D-Wade and Chris Bosh (Miami), Kyrie and Kevin Love (Cleveland) and Anthony Davis (Lakers). WTH is the matter with you? You know basketball. You’re a 6-time champion. How can you utter such Blasphemy?

Smith responded to a second tweet from Pippen to say, “I already told you, Man! Who the hell is Kyrie Irving to you? Slava Medvedenko?”

Plenty of others have now chimed in to comment on Scottie Pippen’s statement. This was certainly not one that a lot of people took lightly, especially those who remember that 2016 season.

What’s your take on this situation? Did LeBron James win the ring all by himself? Sound off in the comments!
