Tiger King is one of the most well-received Netflix docuseries. While the show addressed many key facets of Joe Exotic, his imprisonment, and his feud with Big Cat Rescue owner, Carole Baskin, there are still many unanswered questions.

Carole Baskin’s husband’s disappearance, Joe Exotic’s substance abuse issues and his life in imprisonment, all are left to be covered. However, Netflix has announced a spin-off to the Tiger King series, and it’ll focus on Exotic’s cat-owning counterparts.

Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story will be a three-part documentary, looking at Doc Antle’s career from the beginning and examining the accusations against him. The former zookeeper is swamped with many animal trafficking cases as well as animal cruelty accusations.

The show has been exceptionally successful for Netflix. Fans are constantly intrigued by Joe Exotic’s career, and want to know more about it. While season 2 of the show didn’t offer much novelty in terms of information, it’s still pooling people in.

The Doc Antle Story is a great microcosm for Netflix to unravel, however. It offers a new angle on things, and would paint a bigger picture for fans to interpret and connect the events of the original series with. Besides, Netflix has found a huge consumer base with Tiger King.
