The ongoing legal battle between Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard continues to get messier by the moment. After Johnny Depp lost an appeal in the domestic violence lawsuit, Amber Heard made sure to celebrate that fact while taking a shot at Depp. It seems a new Jack Sparrow project without Johnny Depp is in the works.

In fact, fans even recently petitioned hard to have Amber Heard removed from the upcoming film, but to no avail. Warner Bros would fire Depp from his role of Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3 due to the domestic violence lawsuit.

That wasn’t the only loss Johnny Depp suffered as he was booted from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. From the looks of it, the iconic franchise will be moving forward without Johnny Depp at the helm.

According to Giant Freaking Robot, it was reported that Disney is now developing a Jack Sparrow solo project. This project will not include Johnny Depp. The project is said to be a solo affair, so it will have Jack Sparrow as the focus. At the moment, there are no other details regarding the story.

Johnny Depp made the Jack Sparrow character what it was since the first Pirates of the Caribbean film. It remains to be seen how the new project will fare without Johnny Depp being involved in any capacity.
