Paul Rudd returned to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday. He was asked about the New York Post‘s coverage on People Mag deeming him the Sexiest Man Alive.

Fans have always looked forward to the People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive award. The annual honor went to Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan last year. The magazine has handed out the distinction for 33 years. Now, the torch has been passed to another Marvel hunk, Paul Rudd.

The Ant-Man star joins quite an impressive list of gentlemen. The Sexiest Man Alive pantheon includes Mel Gibson, John F. Kennedy Jr., Tom Cruz, George Clooney and more. Rudd accepted the honor with his charming humbleness saying there are plenty of sexier men out there. “I think of myself as a husband and a father, like I’m that. I just hang out with my family when I’m not working. That’s what I kind of like the most.” Paul said.

We were all very happy with People’s decision but of course New York Post begged to differ. Days before they proclaimed that Rudd’s Marvel co-star Chris Evans would receive the sexy title for 2021. But wait there’s more, in order to bring our sexiest man down they then wrote a hit piece against Rudd titled “Sorry, Paul Rudd is many things — but ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ is not one of them”.

When Stephen Colbert asked him to comment on the piece, Rudd humorously replied “Hey, that might be the first thing I ever read in the New York Post that I agree with. That is not fake news,”. And that reply was so hilariously sexy, He’s got the looks, the bank, amazing sense of humor and he’s a good dad and husband? We Stan A King.
