Rapper Fat Joe is a veteran in the world of Hip-Hop, having worked since the early 1990s. Throughout his career, he has worked with several rappers such as Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne and several more to add to the list.

On the other hand, DaBaby’s name has been dragged through the mud after making a controversial and homophobic statement at Rolling Loud in Miami. DaBaby previously posted a half-hearted apology for his harmful and insensitive remarks as he took to Instagram, but then he would go on to delete the post.

While speaking to Rap City, Fat Joe was asked to name the 2021 version of some of Hip-Hop’s past legends, including Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, E-40, and more. When asked about the current version of 2Pac, Fat Joe chose DaBaby.

Fat Joe even took to Twitter and clarified his choice, stating that there is only one 2Pac but added that DaBaby lives what he raps by.

No ones 2pac there’s only one but i was asked the question and da baby a super real one he lives what he raps about

Despite backtracking on what he said, this didn’t stop fans from roasting him on Twitter in various ways for his weird comparison.

Everyone when Fat Joe said that DaBaby was the Tupac of this era

Fat Joe really compared 2Pac to dababy?

Fat joe: dababy is 2021 version of pac Me:

dababy not even the best baby of this era

I wish people would stop comparing rappers to Tupac. None of these dudes are like Tupac, certainly not DaBaby.

Perhaps Fat Joe would know better than to compare someone as legendary as 2Pac to someone as controversial as DaBaby next time.
