Marilyn Manson has become of the most controversial singers in the music industry after being accused of abuse by multiple women. He even turned himself in back in July due to the charges meted against him.
However, a rape case meted out against him was dismissed last month, which was certainly a relief for the disgraced musician. Despite that, it seems he is still not out of the woods just yet.
According to Loudwire, Esmé Bianco’s lawsuit against Manson for alleged sexual and physical abuse will be proceeding after a U.S. District Court judge shot down a request for dismissal that was being sought by Manson’s lawyers.
Earlier this year, Bianco detailed incidents of domestic violence, abuse, sexual assault and psychological trauma at the hands of Marilyn Manson and she then filed a lawsuit against him, alleging that she was drugged, tortured and raped during their relationship. Multiple other women have also filed lawsuits against Manson for similar reasons, all dealing with sexual assault.
As reported by Metal Hammer, Manson’s lawyers filed for dismissal against her lawsuit in July but a judge has rejected the attempt and noted that the statute-of-limitations was not significant enough because “a reasonable jury could find that the effects of Warner’s alleged unconscionable acts, including the perceived threat to the Plaintiff’s [Bianco] safety, immigration status, and career, persisted years after her last contact with Warner.
This is certainly a messy legal situation as there are certainly a lot of things to unravel and we will keep you updated on this ongoing case as fans hope justice will prevail.
