The Dwayne Johnson starring sitcom “Young Rock” has been renewed for a second season by NBC. A casting call has been sent out for the role of Johnson’s grandfather, Peter Maivia.

Fanene Leifi Pita Maivia, better known as Peter Maivia or his stage name, “High Chief,” was an infamous wrestler during the 70s. As per PW Insider, the actor portraying Maivia must be in his 30s.

Maivia passed away in 1982 when Johnson was only ten. While he did not appear in the show’s first season, he may become a series regular now. The first season did feature other big names such as Randy Savage, Andre The Giant, and Vince McMahon.

Back in September, it was reported that other high profile pro wrestling names are being added to the cast for next season. Those include “Mean” Gene Okerlund, George “The Animal” Steele, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Tommy Rich, Bam Bam Bigelow and Haystacks Calhoun.
