Game Of Thrones was a pop culture phenomenon that took the world by storm since its first episode back in 2011. However, the 8th and final season of the show effectively killed its hype and removed it from pop culture in general.
Despite this, the series will have quite a few spinoffs and that includes the highly anticipated prequel House of the Dragon.
HBO decided to give fans a taste of what is to come in the upcoming series as they dropped a teaser trailer recently. And fans simply couldn’t contain themselves.
The prequel will take place 200 years before the events of the original series. It chronicles the fall of House Targaryen and the events preceding the Targaryen civil war, also known as the “Dance of the Dragons.” It is based on George R.R. Martin’s book “Fire & Blood.”
The minute-long teaser revealed many cast members “Waking The Dead’s” Wil Johnsonas knight Ser Vaemond Velaryon, John Macmillan as Ser Laenor Velaryon (the only son of Lord Corlys Velaryon) and Savannah Steyn as Lady Laena Velayron (Corlys’ only daughter).
The 10-part series is set to release sometime in 2022 and remains to be seen whether it will be received well by fans or not.
