Tyrese Gibson had a longstanding, one-sided feud with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, which started off in 2017. While the actor thought Johnson was being selfish for choosing to star in the spin-off Hobbes & Shaw, which delayed F9, the Gibson thought it was important to stand up to it.

However, Gibson came around after publicly declaring that “it wasn’t professional.” Ever since the feud between the actors ended, Gibson revealed to the duo have reconnected with each other, as the actor told the host Tiffany Haddish on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

We’ve been on the phone every other day. We reconnected in a real way. I think we’re both better men on the other side of all that stuff that went down. To be honest, I didn’t know how the phone call would happen. But it did happen and we’re about 20 phone calls in. We’re in a competition right now on who can leave the longest voice note.

Tyrese and Johnson ended their feud back in December 2020, and they have been getting along just fine since then. The start of the feud happened when Tyrese revealed to TMZ just how fed up he was because of Hobbes and Shaw that F9’s release had to be delayed.

Now that F9 has come out and is doing very well on the box-office, the co-stars are preparing for Fast & Furious 10, which will be the second-last release in the franchise. With the franchise close to its end, it’s best for all its co-stars to end it on good terms. (Zolpidem)
