The Fast & Furious franchise is undoubtedly one of the most popular action franchises to have ever been released in movie theatres. Many fans would agree that it is essentially Vin Diesel’s series at this point.

Vin Diesel’s character Dom Toretto has been a highlight since the very first movie and in the Fast & Furious 9 film, fans will get to know more about Toretto. The film finally released this week and it seems it has been a massive success.

It has completely taken over the Box Office as the film has now become the world’s biggest Box Office release since movie theaters shut down last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fans who went to see the film in theaters helped the film earn a record-breaking $70 million at the domestic box office over its opening weekend. The record was previously held by John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place Part II” which earned $48.3 million.

While speaking to Variety, Vin Diesel declared that Cinema is back after the amazing release of their latest film in movie theaters.

“I think what feels best is just the idea that people are returning to the theatrical experience. It feels good to say, ‘Cinema is back!’ ”

With the next installment of the film set to start being in production as soon as next year, we will have to see how the film franchise will finally end as Vin Diesel is already aware of its ending.
