DMX is currently on life support after suffering a reported drug overdose. His attorney admitted that he had a heart attack, but would not confirm the overdose. A new report includes another very troubling detail to this story.

As DMX recovers in a New York hospital, he reportedly has a new diagnosis: COVID-19 positive. According to VladTV, DMX tested positive for the highly contagious virus and he is being “closely monitored.”

Steve Rifkind, DMX’s manager, also offered an update to TMZ. The rap legend is still in a coma and he took a shot at “multiple people with inaccurate information.”

“DMX is currently on life support and in a coma. There are multiple people with inaccurate information about his well-being and it is not helpful and productive. Tomorrow he will undergo further tests on his brain function and his family will determine what’s best from there. We appreciate your prayers and support.”

We are sending out our best to DMX and we’re hoping he pulls through. The legendary rapper broke barriers during his career. We’re hoping that he can pull through this and tell us all about it in a future song.

H Jenkins

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
