DMX suffered a heart attack after having an OD on Friday night. He is now hospitalized in grave condition.
Reports conflicted regarding whether the famous rapper has brain activity. He is in a terrible way and our thoughts go out to his family. It was not confirmed which substance DMX was taking at the time of this incident.
DMX’s attorney, Murray Richman, spoke to ABC7NY and provided a statement on the matter. Richman confirmed that DMX is on life support at this time.
“I received a call this morning that Earl Simmons was in the hospital, at the White Plains Hospital, and that he had had a heart attack, and I’m not sure how it was induced and that he’s on life support.”
“I’ve spoken to the family and the family and I are quite close with each other. I am concerned about his well-being and mindful of his significance. I have known Earl for over 25 years and I believe that his music is quite poignant, very important. He’s truly a poet of our time.”
We’re hoping that DMX is able to pull through this terrible situation. Things aren’t looking good right now.
