Four years have passed since Tim Allen and Tom Hanks last donned their iconic roles as Buzz Lightyear and Woody in Toy Story 4, but hold onto your cowboy hats, folks, because it seems like Toy Story 5 is revving up for action!

During an recent interview, the ever-energetic Tim dropped some tantalizing hints about the next installment of the beloved franchise. Rumors have been swirling, and it appears there’s more than a kernel of truth to them.

Tim spilled the beans while chatting it up on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, confirming that Toy Story 5 is officially in the works. And not only that, it seems like they’re well on their way to making it a reality.

“Bob Iger, the big cheese over at Disney, gave it the green light,” Tim excitedly revealed to the charismatic Jimmy Fallon. “He straight-up said it’s happening. They’ve reached out to Tom and me to reprise our iconic roles. But they’re playing it coy, not revealing much.”

However, there’s a twist in this thrilling tale. Tim, ever the thoughtful performer, shared his doubts about venturing into a fifth cinematic adventure with Buzz and Woody.

“For folks like me, who are big sci-fi enthusiasts, you can’t help but wonder: Was Toy Story 4 already pushing the envelope? Will Toy Story 5 be a bridge too far?” Tim confessed, echoing the concerns of many fans.
