Back in October, the Los Angeles Superior Court judge in charge of the case warned Sam that if he didn’t get his act together, which included serving Britney with the necessary legal paperwork, the divorce would get the boot.

Fast forward to this week, the hearing took place, but guess who was MIA? That’s right, Sam! The court minutes tell the tale: “Petitioner failed to appear. Matter is placed off the calendar.” The judge, keeping us all on the edge of our seats, hasn’t spilled the beans on whether Sam will get another shot at this.

As previously reported, Sam filed for divorce from Britney back in August, and since then, the two haven’t been spotted together. In his divorce filing, Sam marked the separation date as July 28, 2023, while they tied the knot on June 9, 2022.

Insiders have spilled the tea that Britney and Sam had an “ironclad” prenup safeguarding the pop star’s fortune. So, while Sam might get a hefty lump sum, it looks like he won’t be cashing in on ongoing support.

According to the prenup terms, Sam will walk away with any cars in his possession and any gifts he received during their seven-year journey.
