In a recent interview, Offset spilled the tea about his 2017 hit jam, “Ric Flair Drip,” from the album Without Warning. Brace yourselves, folks, ’cause it turns out Offset wasn’t exactly vibing with the track when it dropped! Shocking, right?

The rap sensation confessed that when he first laid down the bars for the banger, he wasn’t feeling it one bit. He straight-up told Metro Boomin, “Nah, don’t slap this on the album with 21 Savage.” But, oh boy, Metro Boomin had other plans in mind! He had this gut feeling that the tune was destined for greatness, and he was right on the money!

Offset spilled the hot tea, saying, “Just so y’all know, I hated the song.” When asked who managed to change his tune, he spilled the deets, “It was Metro for sure.” He even spilled the beans on the recording process, admitting he didn’t put in that much sweat and tears. “It was a west coast beat… when I did it I didn’t take it serious.”

But hold onto your hats, ’cause there’s more drama. Offset didn’t hold back, revealing how he let Metro Boomin have it when the album dropped. “I cussed his a** out, bruh,” he exclaimed. “Don’t put this song on the album.” He was pretty peeved, considering Metro was the one calling the shots on the tracklist. But guess what? Metro decided to play the rebel and threw “Ric Flair Drip” on the LP against Offset’s wishes.

Offset woke up one day, and boom, there it was! “Man, this n***a put the song on the album!” he recalled, totally shocked. But you know what? Metro’s gamble paid off big time! The track soared to the top of the charts, proving Offset wrong in the best way possible.

“I’ll never forget, like three days later,” he spilled, “We number one on Apple. [He’s] like, ‘I told you, I do this sh*t!'”
