Ray Liotta died suddenly at the age of 67 years old. He gave no signs that his health was bad, and his legacy continues to be remembered in a big way. Now it appears the cause of Liotta’s death has officially been revealed.

According to a report by TMZ, officials in the Dominican Republic found heart and respiratory system problems which led to the legendary actor’s ultimately passing last year.

According to documentation, the late actor’s manner of death was categorized as natural and non-violent. Citations included respiratory insufficiency, pulmonary edema, which all basically mean he suffered from fluid in his lungs and acute heart failure.

It is worth noting that Ray passed away in his sleep last May while filming a movie called “Dangerous Waters” in in the Dominican Republic. His legacy will always be remembered and that’s all that matters.
