Jessica Simpson Reveals Father’s Cancer Diagnosis

Jessica Simpson recently revealed that her daughter Maxwell’s birthday wish was for her father’s bone cancer treatment to work. The actor and fashion mogul took to social media to thank her daughter with a picture of herself being lifted up by the 11-year-old girl.

Jessica wrote in the caption that Maxwell made a wish for her grandfather Joe’s cancer treatments to work after blowing out the candles on her 11th birthday.

“She told me after she blew out HER 11 candles…’I made a wish that was for me and you and actually the whole family.’ I said Maxi it should be your wish and she said ‘we have the same wishes Mom,’”

The “With You” singer added that three days later, she received a text from her dad saying that his treatments were successful. Her daughter who had overheard the conversation asked Jessica’s mom if she could reveal her wish if it had already come true. Jessica’s mom told her to reveal it and she disclosed that she had wished for her grandfather’s bone cancer treatments to work.

“3 days later on our way back to Cali she overheard me reading a text from my Dad and asked my mom sitting next to her ‘GiGi if my birthday wish came true already can I say it out loud or do I still keep it to myself?’” she went on.

“My mom told her to share it with everyone if she wanted to, especially if it had already come true….”

She added, “Maxwell’s birthday wish was for her Papa Joe’s bone cancer treatment to work.”

Jessica Simpson then thanked her daughter for using her ‘powerful’ birthday wish on her father.

“Thank you Maxi Drew for usin’ your wish on our family and most importantly, my Dad,” Jessica gushed. “You are mesmerizing, steadfast, intelligent, passionate, generous, loving, devoted, inspiring, enticing, confident, empathetic, powerful, intuitive, beautiful, DETERMINED, enlightened and FULL OF WONDER. The faith of a child is what keeps all of us ALIVE.”

This is the first time that Jessica ever revealed her father’s health condition to the public.

Jessica Simpson has been married to Eric Johnson since 2014. The couple has three children together: Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie. Jessica also has a clothing line and a fragrance collection.
