Showtime’s “Billions” has been going strong ever since it debuted in 2016. Despite the show’s success, one of its main leads, Damian Lewis, left in season 5. However, there’s great news for all the fans of the series as he’s set to return for season 7.

The MGM+ series has confirmed that Damian is all set to return on the set of Billions. In a recent episode of “The Late Show with Steven Colbert.” Lewis appeared as a guest for the night and talked about his comeback. He will return for six of the 12 episodes of “Billions” set to air next season.

Lewis exited the series after five seasons following the death of his wife Helen McCrory. The show is currently in production in New York, and Lewis’ return had already been leaked via paparazzi photos. It showed him, in character, back with his old “Billions” co-stars.

Lewis received an Emmy for his work from 2011 to 2013 as U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Nicholas Brody on Showtime’s “Homeland.” For the January 2016 premiere of “Billions,” he returned to the pay cabler. Lewis would still be a major character in the tale even though he would no longer be a series regular.
