Nick Diaz is a true veteran in the MMA world and had not competed inside the Octagon for many years. Fans for a long time wondered if he would ever return to the Octagon. He did eventually return but it seems Diaz has accused the UFC of sabotaging his career.

Their questions were answered as Nick Diaz faced off against Robbie Lawler for his return fight at UFC 266. UFC President Dana White even compared Nick Diaz to Mike Tyson before his fight.

Robbie Lawler and Nick Diaz put on a solid bout, as they chose to trade shots and make it a very physical affair. Ultimately, Robbie Lawler eventually overwhelmed Nick Diaz and hit him with a right hook that sent him crashing to the canvas in the third round.

Following his fight against Anderson Silva at UFC 183, the Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended Diaz for five years and penalized him $165,000 after his failed drug test for marijuana metabolites. In January 2016, four months after he filed an appeal, the suspension and penalties were lowered to 18 months and $100,000. Therefore, his UFC career has been full of setbacks..

Nick Diaz took to his Instagram stories and accused the UFC of sabotaging his career, stating that he would have won titles by now if not for the UFC.

These motherf**kers are lucky…. I got fu**ked over my whole career. Otherwise, I [would] have had the UFC belt by now, maybe both of them.”

We will have to wait and see what will become of Nick Diaz in the end. After all, fans simply wish things were better for him in the end.
