Cody Rhodes Is Sorry For Throwing A Bottle At The Rock’s Face

Cody Rhodes was absent from action since his epic match against Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell the previous year. He was sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle for a prolonged period but made a comeback during the recent Royal Rumble event. Rhodes was a young star during his previous tenure in WWE and did some brash things. It seems he is also sorry about throwing a bottle at The Rock’s face.

Brandi Rhodes recently tweeted a cryptic memory about a conversation she had with her husband Cody Rhodes 11 years ago prior to their departure from WWE. However, she didn’t elaborate on the memory.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, The American Nightmare revealed details about what Brandi Rhodes had written. He recalled throwing a bottle at The Rock’s face, which was on a huge bus and finally, he decided to apologize for the same.

For whatever reason, I was drinking Yoohoo,” Cody began, noting that he was standing in front of a large bus with the faces of John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson staring at him, “and it had been in front of me for about a year, and I get it, it’s Cena, it’s Rock, but I was getting so close and getting knocked back down and I took the Yoohoo bottle and I threw it against the side of the bus and I told [Brandi] ‘I just can’t do this. I can’t be number 25 on the call sheet, I can’t even be 1b, man. I want to play quarterback.

Maybe I had some things when I left that I was right about, but there was a lot I wasn’t right about.” Rhodes goes on to say that he needed to do a lot of “growing up.

But yeah, I threw a Yoohoo bottle against The Rock’s face,” Rhodes chuckled. “Poor Rock, I’m so sorry.

These guys, they’re on top and on top and on top, and they’re on top for a reason. I just wanted to be in that spot and it took me some time to get even close to it.”

Cody Rhodes made a highly-anticipated in-ring return from injury during the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match. He would then proceed to win the whole thing and guarantee a WrestleMania 39 main event.

We will have to wait and see who Cody Rhodes will end up choosing as his opponent at WrestleMania 39. After all, a match against Roman Reigns will certainly be a blockbuster of huge proportions.
