The 2023 Royal Rumble went down last night, and it turned out to be a massive success. The show is still being talked about among wrestling fans for its controversial ending, where Sami Zayn turned on The Bloodline. The Royal Rumble also saw the return of several WWE Superstars including Booker T, Nia Jax, and Chelsea Green. However, one Superstar who was heavily rumored to make the show wasn’t present.

Former WWE Champion The Rock was rumored to make his return at the Royal Rumble and confront Roman Reigns. Although Cody Rhodes was the favorite to win The Royal Rumble match, there were rumors doing the rounds that Rock would still make an appearance at the show.

However, The Rock failed to make it to the Royal Rumble. It now seems like The Brahma Bull was busy during the Royal Rumble which is why he wasn’t present at the show.

The Rock recently posted a video to Instagram where he revealed he was busy working Saturday night and hopped on a flight early in the morning. He captioned the video:

“Worked all Saturday night, hopped on the bird at 4am and the eagle just landed to a crisp morning

I think I’ll sleep next month 💤 🤪

Gonna hit the gym and get my mental inventory going 🧠 ☑️

Then I’m all yours TEXAS.”

With the way The Royal Rumble turned out, it seems highly unlikely that The Rock will return to confront Roman Reigns now since it seems like Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn will be feuding with Reigns in the near future. Stay tuned to Thirsty For News as we bring you similar stories.
