Dave Bautista is a sought-after talent in the entertainment world, having made a name for himself as Drax the Destroyer in the popular Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy film franchise. This former WWE wrestler has successfully transitioned into acting, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to the craft. Now it appears that Batista has sparked speculation that he might join the DCU after teasing a talk with James Gunn.

Dave Bautista and James Gunn, who formed a close friendship while working on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, might be reuniting sooner than expected. While it was believed their professional association might have ended with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, a recent post suggests otherwise.

Bautista posted a photo on his Instagram Stories from what seems to be the DC Studios lot, sparking speculation about ongoing discussions between the actor and the new movie studios. James Gunn, now heading DC Studios alongside Peter Safran, was tagged in the photo.

In the photo, Bautista is seen sitting in a parking spot reserved for Gunn, and the actor tagged Gunn in the post. To make things even more interesting, Gunn later shared the photo and commented on it – further building speculation.

Hey [Dave Bautista] I can’t believe you’re parking your body in my space.”

The exchange on social media has fueled Bautista’s involvement in the DCU, as fans would definitely love to see The Animal make his way into the comic book movie space once again.
