Tory Lanez has made multiple headlines because of his legal battle with Megan Thee Stallion. On Friday, December 23, a California jury found Lanez guilty of assaulting Megan. However, despite everything, Lanez’s father has recently revealed that he has forgiven Megan a long time ago.

On January 12, Sonstar Peterson took to his Instagram to share a video where he discussed his son’s most recent trial. This comes after Peterson made headlines on the last day of the trial by criticizing JAY-Z, whose Roc Nation company manages Megan, and venting his rage at the jury’s decision.

Peterson uploaded a 40-minute-long video where he claimed that he and Tory, along with other family members, had already forgiven Megan for informing the authorities about the alleged shooting, for which he faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison. “This might come as a shock to many of you, but guess what?” he said.

“Both my son, myself and others of our family have long decided that we are not going to hold any animosity against Megan Pete a.k.a. Megan Thee Stallion. We forgave that girl a long time ago. A long time ago.”

According to Peterson, their choice was prompted by the knowledge that forgiveness is crucial for both one’s spiritual and physical well-being and that holding grudges can result in sickness and disease. “We know that the principle of forgiveness is important in order to cleanse one’s heart, to cleanse one’s soul and to not be bound up with hatred,” he continued.

“Hatred, esentment, bitterness — those things can actually diseases of the bones, it has been proven.

And it can cause sickness in your body because you’re holding onto something that is negative against the real life force in your life.”

While it appears that he and Tory are no longer angry toward Megan, Peterson persisted in his battle against what he referred to as “the machine.”  “Yes, we have forgiven her. But what we will not back down from is the machine,” he stated.

Tory Lanez was found guilty of all three charges against him. They included carrying a concealed, unregistered firearm, using a firearm carelessly, and felony assault with a semiautomatic weapon. Stay tuned to Thirsty to get more updates regarding this case.
