Rihanna has become a sensation in the industry due to the time and effort she puts into her work. However, Rihanna has recently given her fans a huge gift and that is the first sneak peek at her highly anticipated Halftime Show extravaganza.
The Super Bowl LVII Halftime show trailer for Rihanna begins with a dark and featureless world, similar to how Rihanna fans have felt for the past seven years as they have eagerly waited for new music. Suddenly Rihanna appears with voices saying, “It’s been 2,190 days…” and “Rihanna, we’ve waited for you.”
More people discuss the quietness since the release of her last album, 2016’s Anti, as the “Work” singer becomes more visible. One person shouts, “RiRi, where have you been?” while someone says, “Rihanna is who everyone has been waiting for.”
Rihanna is seen posing in what seems to be a greenish version of the furry coat she donned for her performance of “B**** Better Have My Money” at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The lights turn off as the noise becomes almost extreme, and Rihanna makes a “Shhhhh” motion with her finger to her lips.
The first note of her song “Needed Me” starts to play, and it seems that the discussion has come to an end. Fans have to wait until Super Bowl 57, which will take place at Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium on Sunday, February 12.
Although Rihanna’s Super Bowl setlist is probably concealed in a vault to prevent her NAVY from finding it before she performs, it’s difficult to believe that she won’t perform “This Is What You Came For,” her 2016 collaboration with Calvin Harris, given the number of fans who will be watching the football extravaganza for Rihanna.
It remains to be seen what the singer ultimately performs in the show. Until then, stay tuned to Thirsty to get the latest updates regarding it.
