Megan Thee Stallion established herself as one of the best hip-hop artists in the world right now. That being said, she always manages to get involved in controversy one way or the other. This included her current case with Tory Lanez, which became a subject of ridicule for 50 Cent. However, it seems 50 Cent decided to apologize to Stallion after earning about the whole situation with Tory Lanez.
The case between rapper Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez is far from over. As previously reported, Tory Lanez had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges meted out against him, which include assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm. This is because he allegedly shot Stallion in the foot.
Tory Lanez recently showed remorse over the shooting incident. Fif is known for trolling his famous peers from all walks of life. However, his joke about Megan Thee Stallion while Lanez was on trial drew the ire of fans.
In one post, he suggested that Megan was the new Jussie Smollett. In another, he shared a meme of Lanez chasing Megan while using a still from Boyz n the Hood. “Run Ricky.” People were outraged and accused 50 Cent of being insensitive.
While speaking on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, 50 Cent did the impossible, as he apologized to Megan Thee Stallion for his insensitive jokes regarding Megan Thee Stallion.
“I’m gonna apologize to Megan Thee Stallion. I said some things—and it was because on social media I posted things that, when she said, she was with [Gayle King]. She said, ‘Were you intimate with Tory Lanez?’ And she said, ‘What? No.’ I was like, ‘Ah, she lyin’.’
Little things would pop up and I wasn’t being supportive of her,” he added. “The only reason why I felt like I should apologize to her is because when I heard the phone conversation.”
Tory Lanez was found guilty of three counts related to the shooting. He is reportedly scheduled for sentencing on February 28. We’ll have to see how many years he will be behind bars.
