Roman Reigns vs The Rock is a match that a ton of wrestling fans want to see. Every year around WrestleMania season, rumors start to heat up. The Rock is officially acknowledging The Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns claims he is at the head of the table when it comes to the Samoan Dynasty and the Anoa’i family. However, many wrestling fans have been anticipating the inevitable day when he squares off against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the most prominent member of that family.

There has been much speculation about a possible relationship between the two men, but it has always come down to the crucial factor of timing before pen meets paper.

The Rock was recently questioned if he acknowledges his Tribal Chief in a new interview with Chris Van Vliet. In response, The Rock gushingly praised not only Roman Reigns but also Jimmy and Jey Uso for their ability to put on outstanding performances during a period of uncertainty in the WWE.

Of course I do! That’s my family. I think those guys are doing a great job and I think — what an interesting shift that the company has gone through this year, unexpected in many ways. But when unexpectations happen in that kind of way, form, and fashion, especially in that business, you’ve got to have the ability and the agility to pivot, which they have.

So with Roman, I think he’s doing a pretty good job and the boys, too, The Usos as well.

The biggest changes to WWE this year have been Vince McMahon’s retirement and Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s promotion to Chief Content Officer. Nothing is definite as of yet regarding a potential match between the two, but both men have shown an interest in the match in the past.

Paul Heyman was recently cited as claiming that up until Dwayne Johnson signs the contract, the match is only a masturbatory fantasy for spectators. Watch the full video below.
