Rihanna is set to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in February, next year. This will be a huge performance that thousands of fans are eagerly waiting to watch. However, as it turns out, a renowned sports broadcaster isn’t convinced that Rihanna will be perfect as the headline act.

Dan Patrick stated in a recent interview that he would have picked Taylor Swift instead of Rihanna. Patrick thinks that she has evolved into more of a fashion icon now and that she hasn’t contributed to music enough lately to deserve the halftime honor.

“I would’ve chosen Taylor Swift, but Taylor says that she’s gotta wait ’til she re-records all of her albums. I would’ve been curious who she would’ve brought in. Rihanna hasn’t done anything, really. Not that much. She’s more of a fashion icon now.”

Patrick’s criticism could have been much harsher, but it’s expected that a few people will be offended by what he had to say. Stay tuned to Thirsty for the latest updates.
