Tech N9ne got his stage moniker from the TEC-9 semi-automatic handgun, which rapper Black Walt gave him because of his fast-rhyming chopper style. He’s also not the type to turn down a rap challenge. However, it appears that he does not want to smoke with someone impersonating Eminem.
In a new video released on Monday, September 26, Canadian comedian DTG, well known for his Slim Shady impersonations, dressed up like the Detroit rapper in his trademark zip jacket, white tee, baseball cap, and gold chain combination. Instead of his usual solo spoofs, fake Em meets up with other friends this time, most notably Strange Music boss Tech N9ne, who proceeds to dap up the artist formerly known as Lil Windex.
“Yo! What the f*ck? Em, what’s up, man?” Tech says as he greets DTG with a dap. He then proceeds to ask: “Damn, it’s been a minute. What you been up to?” Instead of answering Tech’s question, Fake Eminem chooses war. “You trying to rap right now?” he snaps back. The Kansas City rapper replies: “Hey man, I been doing enough of that already.”
DTG disregards the hint and continues into a rap that includes a lashing of Tech N9ne. “Red hoodie and red shoes/ If I ever get married, my best dude, guess who, yes you,” he spits as Tech makes a quick getaway.
‘Alarm goes off in the morning I wake up, press snooze/ Right tight, left loose/ Yo, Tech, where’d you go, man?‘ C’mon. F*ck!
After learning Tech has fled, tattooist Ryan “Newz” Scarpino and Strange Music rapper King Iso enter the frame and dap “Eminem,” after which he chases the pair and asks, “Y’all tryna rap?” DTG shared the video with the caption: “Running into #Eminem be like.” Among the comments, Tech hopped in to write: “Damn EM we suppose ta be BROTHAS!”
It may be easy to impersonate Eminem, but facing what he went through to attain this much success must be quite challenging. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
