21 Savage has had his fair share of social media controversies throughout his career. A few of the more notable incidents have even gone viral. One of them is his British nationality. Following Queen Elizabeth’s death, jokes are being made that 21 Savage should be the next King.

Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, supporters of 21 Savage are calling for him to be crowned King of England. The Queen died on Thursday, September 8 at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, ending her historic 70-year reign over the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries. As tributes to the Queen came in from around the world in the aftermath of her death, jokes about the Savage Mode rapper succeeding Queen Elizabeth II on the throne surfaced online.

Idk how it works but I nominate 21 Savage as the new King of England.

The jokes kept coming, with one admirer photoshopping 21 in aristocratic costume and writing, “I nominate Sir Savage the 21st as the new monarch of England in the wake of the Queen’s passing.” Another user shared a picture showing the rapper dressed as a supervillain, writing, “21 savage appearing on the BBC declaring himself the new King of the UK as an act of revenge for getting deported from the US.”

Even Norm Kelly, the humorous former Canadian politician, got in on the act by uploading a snapshot of 21 on Instagram Stories with the caption: “21 SAVAGE FOR KING.” 21 Savage’s British nationality was revealed following his arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in 2019. Despite being associated with Atlanta hip-hop, it was revealed that he was born in London.

According to authorities, the rapper entered the United States with his mother in July 2005. He was only 12 years old, and illegally overstayed a visa that expired the following year.

21 Savage has since accepted jokes about his British roots. You can check out the tweets below. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
