The follow-up to 2019’s Joker, Folie a Deux, is coming along nicely. With Joaquin Phoenix returning to the lead and Lady Gaga joining writer/director Todd Phillips’ sequel, the experience is going to be talked about for sure. Now, more star power has joined the film.

Deadline broke the news that Oscar-nominee Catherine Keener has landed a major role in the highly anticipated sequel. The role is top secret as of this writing. Warner Bros. did not comment.

Keener was most recently seen in Shawn Levy’s feature film The Adam Project opposite Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo. Prior to this, she appeared in a one-season arc in Nick Antosca and Lenore Zion’s new Netflix series, Brand New Cherry Flavor.

Kenner was also recently seen in the independent feature No Future, by the producing team of the critically-acclaimed Sorry To Bother You, opposite Stranger Things star Charlie Heaton.
