Zac Efron gained fame after starring in Disney’s High School Musical series. He eventually honed his craft and appeared in a number of movies, and also became one of Hollywood’s biggest hunks. However, he has recently opened up about his personal life and how is trying to live the perfect lifestyle.
Efron recently discussed his desire to lose his “Baywatch” body after filming and how, rather than looking for new love, he is more concerned with “finding my groove. I’ve really been taking time to focus on, you know, self-fulfillment and trying to find my groove,” Efron stated in the cover story of Men’s Health October 2022 issue.
Zac has dated celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens, Lilly Collins, Vanessa Valladares, Michelle Rodriguez, and others, he is currently living a single life and is content with it. “I know that probably when I meet the right person, it’s going to be when I least expect it,” he told the publication.
Zac is also glad that he no longer appears to be completely shredded. In reference to the challenges he underwent to play Matt Brody in the 2017 film version of the popular television series, Zac remarked, “That Baywatch look, I don’t know if that’s really attainable.”
“There’s just too little water in the skin. Like, it’s fake; it looks CGI’d. And that required Lasix, powerful diuretics, to achieve. So I don’t need to do that. I much prefer to have an extra, you know, 2 to 3 percent body fat.”
Zac admitted that he is putting on weight for an undisclosed role, but he is also learning from the mistakes he made with Baywatch. He was overtraining and eating the same three meals every day. He wasn’t getting enough sleep, too.
“I started to develop insomnia, and I fell into a pretty bad depression, for a long time. Something about that experience burned me out. I had a really hard time recentering. Ultimately, they chalked it up to taking way too many diuretics for way too long, and it messed something up.”
Zac Efron also shared his experience for individuals who believe they can get the Baywatch physique easily. Zac was really exhausted during the recovery, which made him rethink his approach to physical fitness. “At one point, that was a dream of mine—what it would be like to not have to be in shape all the time,” he finally said.
After going through both extremes, Zac exercises, but he is more aware of his form. He is a “foam-rolling fanatic,” firmly believing in yoga, self-massage, and stretching. He also enjoys taking ice baths. Obviously, Efron is doing everything he can to maintain his body.
