Gucci Mane is one of the most popular rappers in the hip-hop world. On top of that, he is always looking out for the new generation of rappers. He also condemns rappers for disrespecting the dead.

The rapper is now using his status as a veteran rapper to help end the trend of rappers disrespecting dead people in their lyrics. On Thursday, Gucci dropped his new song “Dissin The Dead,” which tries to change up the culture in a positive way.

He also takes responsibility for his part in the ongoing ordeal. The rapper has rapped the following in his song: “I know I should be more careful with the sh*t that I said/I feel like I started a trend, they never gon’ stop/They gon’ keep dissin’ the dead.”

Earlier this year, he used the man he killed in self-defense, Henry “Pookie Loc” Lee Clark III, as a part of a lyrical diss. He was called out by 50 Cent for this as well. The track has dropped at an unfortunate time, as rapper JayDaYoungan was shot dead recently as well.
