James Gunn’s Guardians Of The Galaxy film series is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most beloved series of all time, as it propelled the careers of Dave Bautista and Chris Pratt to superstardom. The first film was released back in 2014 with a sequel releasing three years after in 2017. The visual effects in James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”‘s first official trailer aren’t quite ready for the internet.

Gunn recently confirmed at Comic-Con that “Vol. 3” will be his last “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie. The teaser for the final film in the director’s “Guardians” trilogy grabbed headlines after it debuted at Comic-Con over the weekend. However, only participants in Hall H had access to the never-before-seen material.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” trailer was not made available to the general public online by Marvel. Gunn recently provided an explanation on Twitter. According to him, the VFX aren’t quite ready for ‘repeated views.’

I wish you could have [seen it] too. But it’s not just Marvel, it’s also me. Although I love the teaser, some VFX aren’t where I’d want them to be for repeated views and close inspection — remember we didn’t wrap long ago — so you’ll have to wait just a beat! Sorry!
