Megan Thee Stallion released “Hot Girl Summer” in 2019, which featured Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. Megan said Tory Lanez shot her in the feet in Hollywood Hills, California, a year later. Billboard’s Hot 100 chart placed “Hot Girl Summer” in the Top 20.

At the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, the song was named Best Power Anthem. Now, in the year 2022, Lanez has released his own summer-themed track. On top of that, Tory Lanez shot an age-restricted music video for “City Boy Summer” in Megan Thee Stallion’s hometown of Houston.

J Prince Jr., a Houston native, makes an appearance in the “City Boy Summer” visuals. Lanez took to Twitter to announce his latest music video. The video undeniably took an extra personal shot at Megan Thee Stallion as it was shot in her hometown.

This whole video was shot in HOUSTON TX 🌎🇺🇸…. S/O the real lemon pepper stepper @jprincejr 🍋🌶🥾and all the other ratchet s### we had going on.

Given the two rappers’ continuing legal difficulties, some assume Tory Lanez used the title “City Boy Summer” and the Houston-set video to taunt Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez has been accused of adopting similar agitating techniques in the past by critics. Check out the tweet below.
