Scrubs is the sitcom that just won’t die. The show was canceled by NBC after being a huge hit for seven seasons. ABC revived the show for one more run, but most of the original cast only appeared sporadically after the show was renewed for an additional season.

The cast recently appeared on a panel at the ATX TV Festival. They were all very vocal about their hopes to reunite for another run. Nothing is set in stone, but the show’s creator Bill Lawrence said it’s eventually going to happen.

“We’re gonna do it because we’re lucky enough that people care.

Top to bottom, we enjoy spending time with each other. If you ever have an excuse to work with people that you’d want to spend time with anyways, run to it… It’s worth it to me to see Neil back in that jumpsuit again.”

Most of the cast and creators hedged their willingness to do a reunion, noting that they all had several other projects at this time. Lawrence is currently busy with the hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso as well as another upcoming TV comedy. A movie could be the way to go for a Scrubs reunion.

The final season of Scrubs on ABC left a bitter taste in many fans’ mouths. The cast and crew are well aware of that and would love to make it right. When the timing is perfect, it sounds like everybody is on board to deliver a proper ending to this beloved sitcom.
